The Parade Bunching Onion is an open-pollinated variety that produces some of the most uniform, upright stalks of any bunching onion we've seen. These incredibly vigorous plants don't produce a bulb and have a spectacular mild onion flavor and minimal disease issues. The dark green stalks make for a great option for spring onions or, because of their extra long white base, to pull out of the ground and harvest as scallions. The Parade Bunching Onion will grow great in containers, raised beds, or in the field. It is a mild non-bulbing bunching onion variety with clear white shanks and dark green foliage. The foliage is upright with little disease issues. This strong variety produces a uniform harvest that works easily for bunching at the market or direct fresh use.

Growing Information

Parade Bunching Onion can be direct-seeded. For direct seeding, plant Seeds 1″ apart along the row with a row spacing of 24″. Parade Bunching Onion Seeds can be planted with our Hoss Garden Seeder. We recommend using a #1 seed plate and modifying the hole size slightly to accommodate the onion variety being planted. For denser plantings, more holes may need to be drilled to accommodate a thicker spacing.
