This plant produces small purple or pink flowers that will typically appear during the summer months. It is known to be a fast grower and can be invasive in the United States. The beautiful blooms attract pollinators and add beauty to any garden. Motherwort has been used for many years as a medicinal herb. Leonurus cardiaca. 80 days to maturity.

Motherwort plants can reach up to 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Once the plant is established, it can be grown in a wide variety of conditions. It can be planted in full sun or partial shade. To help control seed spreading, once the plant has flowered (assuming you don't harvest your blooms), cut the plant back to 5-6" after blooming. Motherwort has minimal watering needs and is tolerant of a wide variety of soil conditions.
