Our Wooden Garden Labels are made in Maine from white birch veneer and provide an excellent writing surface for all your plant labeling. These work great for labeling plants in your seed starting room or greenhouse. They especially come in handy when growing several different varieties in a single seed starting tray.
You can use these labels to identify individual plants or use them to label entires rows of plants in a seed starting tray. We use them frequently when growing trials of different varieties of the same crop. For example, a tray containing 5 different varieties of cabbage will have transplants that look very similar. However, the labels ensure that we can keep track of what we’ve planted.
The 7/8″ width ensures they’ll fit perfectly inside any seed starting tray or container. They’ll work with larger-cell trays like our 24 and 48 Cell Seed Starting Kits. But they’ll also fit within our smaller-cell trays like our 162 or 338 Cell Seed Starting Trays. These labels include a permanent garden marker that won’t smear or smudge when during rainfall or watering.
In addition to seed starting, these labels also work well for labeling plants in the outdoor garden. We frequently use them in our onion plots to differentiate between the numerous varieties we plant. They also work great for raised bed or container gardens to keep track of individual plants or rows of specific varieties.
These wooden labels are sturdy but they are also biodegradable. The labels are 8″ long and 7/8″ wide. The top end is rounded while the bottom end is pointed for easily pushing down into soil. Available in packs of 12 or 100.
