Description

Be sure to check out our Tomato Growing Guide for tips & tricks on being successful in growing tomatoes at home.

Supersweet 100 Cherry Tomato is an indeterminate cherry variety that produces extremely, heavy clusters of super sweet cherry tomatoes. It is a favorite for home gardeners! Vigorous plants produce heavy yields of 1-1.5" round cherry tomatoes that grow in clusters of 15-25. The clusters make these easy to harvest, although you'll probably eat them all before you get inside! Plants are prolific and will continually produce tomatoes until the first frost in fall. These can be grown on a paneled trellis in a larger garden, but they also make a great patio plant. You can even plant them in a hanging pot and let them dangle towards the ground for easy harvesting. Great for snacking and salads!

Growing Information

Tomatoes are in the nightshade family along with peppers and eggplant. Plants in the nightshade family are susceptible to blossom end rot, which is a result of a calcium deficiency. To prevent or alleviate this problem, apply pelleted gypsum at the base of the plant at bloom set. Tomatoes do best when transplanted, as the germination time can be longer than most vegetable Seeds. They grow very well in our heavy-duty seed starting trays. Plants should be started 4-6 weeks before the intended outdoor planting date.

If conditions outside are favorable, transplants may be planted directly from our 162 cell trays. If conditions are still too cold for planting tomatoes, transplants may be "stepped-up" to 4" pots to allow more room to grow. Tomatoes can produce heavy fruits and will require some form of support to keep the plant upright. This ensures that plants and fruits stay off the ground, reducing the possibility of disease and keeping fruits clean.

sweet cherry tomatoes.

I am excited to plant all the seeds I got from Hoss. I live in Indiana so I can not plant for another couple months, but I will get all my seeds started so that I can put them in the ground after then last frost

None of my tomatoes did great last year except for this one. This tomato saved the day! I could hardly even keep up with them. They were also sweet and delicious. We ate them raw, roasted, in sauces, and every way you can think of. They did not disappoint! I will be growing this one ever year.

5 out of 5

For a cherry tomato, I haven't found a better one out of the 6 varieties I have tried. Consistently sweet and produce massive amounts of tomatoes. I have found some varieties that one year they may have better taste but not every year and no variety out produces this one for me. This variety is consistent in its sweet taste, thickness of the skins, the size and its heavy production. Perfect size.
