Be sure to check out our Tomato Growing Guide for tips & tricks on being successful in growing tomatoes at home.

Sun Gold Tomato is an indeterminate, hybrid variety with the best flavor you've ever had in a cherry tomato. Sun Gold is considered one of the most popular cherry tomatoes because of its production and flavor. Fruits grow in huge clusters that average 10-15 fruits per cluster. The yellow-gold fruits have a sweet, tart flavor that is unlike any tomato you've ever had. Indeterminate plants will grow and produce fruits throughout the warmer months. Large plants will require solid supports like our heavy-duty tomato cages. Sun Gold Tomato is delicious right off the vine, but are also great when cut in half and used in your favorite salads.

Tomatoes are in the nightshade family along with peppers and eggplant. Plants in the nightshade family are susceptible to blossom end rot, which is a result of a calcium deficiency. To prevent or alleviate this problem, apply pelleted gypsum at the base of the plant at bloom set. Tomatoes do best when transplanted, as the germination time can be longer than most vegetable seed. They grow very well in our heavy-duty seed starting trays. Plants should be started 4-6 weeks before the intended outdoor planting date. If conditions outside are favorable, transplants may be planted directly from our 162 cell trays. If conditions are still too cold for planting tomatoes, transplants may be "stepped-up" to 4" pots to allow more room to grow. Tomatoes can produce heavy fruits and will require some form of support to keep the plant upright. We recommend using sturdy, heavy-duty plant supports. Cages work best for indeterminate varieties. This ensures that plants and fruits stay off the ground, reducing the possibility of disease and keeping fruits clean.

Good flavor

It's hard to review something like this. I've grown these before and they are great but I just got these seeds planted so I don't know anything yet. Time will tell

Having heavy duty cages and supports is an understatement ,due the limbs breaking trying to support the large clusters of fruit. Very satisfied with the harvest this year.
