The Striped Carolsello Leccese Cucumber is a rare Italian heirloom melon that is picked immature as a cucumber when 1-2 inches in diameter. The cylindrical striped fruit has a crisp exterior, yet exhibits a tender smooth internal texture and rich complex flavor with a sweet aftertaste. Vines love the heat and thrive in well-drained soils.

Trellising will keep the fruits cleaner and save time with harvesting and processing. It will also help to prevent fruit discoloration or yellowing from sitting on the soil surface.
