Our Premium Greens Mix contains an equal combination of our favorite asian-style greens and a few others. This mix makes the perfect blend of flavors for a bold salad, stir-fry or any other lettuce/spinach substitute. Premium Greens Mix contains Tatsoi, Mizuna, Arugula and Red Mustard. Tatsoi has dark green, spoon-shaped leaves that have a mild mustard flavor. Tatsoi can tend to bolt in spring if planted soon before the last frost, so be sure to plant either much before the last frost or after the last frost in spring. Mizuna is a beautiful green with elongated, feathered leaves that hold dressing and other sauces well when used in a salad or other dish. Arugula is another great addition to the mix that provides some zest and kick. Arugula produces green, lobed leaves and flavors will get more vibrant as leaves get larger. Red Russian Kale provides a nice, clean kale flavor to the mix.
Premium Greens Mix should be direct-seeded densely in a bed. Bed size will depend on personal preference, but usually bed size ranges between 2′ and 3′ wide. We recommend planting with our Hoss Garden Seeder using a modified #1 seed plate. Drill 8 more holes in the #1 plate to make 16 holes, which will plant densely at a 1″ spacing. Harvest with a sharp knife once leaves have grown to the desired size. If a more milder flavor is preferred, harvest when leaves are smaller. If a bolder, zestier flavor is preferred, allow leaves to grow larger before harvest. New leaves will continue to emerge for repeat harvests throughout the growing season.

Really good salad mix. Grows well in cooler weather. Cut it for dinner and in a few days, it is ready to harvest again!
