The Pollinator Garden Collection is a great way to improve the production and overall health of your vegetable garden. Attract pollinators to improve vegetable harvests, and attract beneficial insects reduce harmful ones and keep plants healthy. The Pollinator Garden Collection includes seven varieties of some of our favorite cut flowers to plant in the vegetable garden. These varieties perform great when grown as transplants in our heavy-duty seed starting trays, but may also be direct seeded into the garden. Many of the varieties in the collection, including the Benary Giant Zinnia, may be cut and harvested several times throughout the warm-growing season. These varieties are heat tolerant and will grow until the first frost date in fall.
Pollinator Garden Collection Includes:
Cosmos Versailles Mix – a brightly-colored blend of cut-flowers with strong stems and consistent blooms throughout the warm months. Includes pink, white and red blooms. Great for attracting birds, bees and butterflies.
Ageratum Blue Horizon – a favorite among cut flower growers and vegetable gardeners. It produces tall, sturdy bloom clusters that are great for attracting pollinators and filling bouquets.
Celosia Chief Mix – also known as “cockscomb”, is a colorful mix of large blooms with long, sturdy stems. Contains scarlet, rose, gold and red-yellow bicolor blooms.
Benary Giant Zinnia – our preferred cut flower for vegetable gardens. Attract pollinators and harvest beautiful bouquets of flowers throughout the entire warm growing season.
Celosia Century Mix – a colorful mix of plumosa or flame-like blooms that can get as large as 12″ tall. Includes scarlet, rose, orange, yellow and cream colored blooms.
Teddy Bear Sunflower – a popular sunflower variety known for its velvety blooms that attract beneficial insects and pollinators to the vegetable garden.
Autumn Beauty Sunflower Mix – a beautiful blend of orange, red, yellow and bronze sunflowers. Up to 20 blooms per plant! Great for cut flowers and attracting pollinators.
