Plow Set

Our Plow Set attachment for the Hoss Wheel Hoe allows you to easily create furrows and hills in the vegetable garden. This set includes a left and right plow which can be oriented in the furrowing or hilling position. The left plow always throws soil to the left when standing behind the wheel hoe, and the right plow always throws soil to the right when standing behind the wheel hoe.

To set the plows in the furrowing position, place the left plow on the right side of the wheel hoe toolbar and the right plow on the left side of the wheel hoe toolbar. The plow tips should meet in the center of the wheel hoe toolbar. This will allow you to create a 3-4" trench or furrow for planting. This is the ideal setup for planting potatoes, elephant garlic, tomatoes or any other transplant that requires deep planting.

To set the plows in the hilling position, place the left plow on the left side of the wheel hoe toolbar and the right plow on the right side of the wheel hoe toolbar. The distance between the plows can be adjusted for a narrow or wide hill. This is the ideal setup for covering or hilling potatoes. It also works great for hilling corn to promote stronger root development and protect plants in high wind situations.

The Plow Set attachment is made of powder-coated steel and built to last a lifetime. It is designed to be used in established gardens where soil has previously been worked or cultivated. It is not designed to be used for breaking ground or establishing new garden plots.
