Peaches and Cream Sweet Corn has is a bicolor hybrid with white and yellow kernels that provide two different flavors in each bite. With a name like Peaches and Cream, you know it has to be good. It is a sugary-enhanced (se) variety, which means it matures slightly earlier than standard varieties. Sugary-enhanced sweet corn also can store longer in cold storage, usually up to 10 days without losing its sweetness. Peaches and Cream Sweet Corn plants produce long flags that do a great job of covering and protecting the 8.5″ long ears. While it is known for its fresh-eating quality, it also performs well when creamed and frozen in bags for later.
Sweet corn should be planted in the spring after the last frost date. Sweet corn can be grown throughout the warmer months up until fall, as long as time is permitted for harvest before first frost. Succession planting is recommended with at least two plantings, one in early spring and one in late summer/early fall. Corn ear worm pressure will be greater in the warmer months, but this can be alleviated by applying spinosad to silks and tassels once they appear.
We recommend planting sweet corn using a walk-behind planter like our Hoss Garden Seeder. Once plants emerge, thin plants to 6-8″ depending on adequate irrigation. If drip irrigation is used, in-row spacing may be as close as 6″. If water is scarce, a wider in-row spacing will be necessary. For pollination purposes, corn should be planted in a square plot with rows on 30-36″ spacing. Planting a few long rows will result in poor germination and absence of kernels on the cobs.

My family absolutely LOVES peaches and cream corn so when I saw I could get such a HUGE package for so cheap I jumped on it. I’m so glad I did!!! The germination rate was fantastic almost all came up. They are growing so well and we can not wait for our first taste!! Also shipping was amazingly fast!! I am a new Hoss customer forever now. I’ve got my eye on a few things for next year!

May 2022 we started a community garden and Peaches & Cream Sweet Corn from Hoss is the corn we planted. We planted it as per their video showing in ground drip tape. germination was much quicker than expected and the harvest was fantastic. The flavor and sweetness of the corn was excellent. Peaches and Cream will get planted again in 2023.
