Hortonova Trellis Netting 48" x 16'

$999

Quickly and effectively support your vegetable garden plants with Hortonova Trellis Netting. Great for vertical or horizontal trellising for many vegetable and flower crops. 48″ tall x 16′ long. Easy to cut to desired length.

Description

Hortonova Trellis Netting will keep your plants off the ground and healthy! Trellising allows plants to have adequate airflow which will reduce the potential for bacterial and fungal diseases. Trellising also keeps plant leaves and fruits off the ground, which will additionally help to reduce fungal and bacterial diseases.

This product includes a roll that is 48" tall and 16' long. It is ideal for smaller garden rows or raised bed gardens, but can also be easily cut to length. For example, you can cut in half and use for two separate rows or beds that are 8' long. We suggest using a support stake every 10-15 feet. So with one roll of 48" x 16' netting, you would need at least two stakes to adequately support the mesh trellis.

Hortonova Trellis Netting is super strong, yet lightweight and easy to install. Unlike metal trellising options, this polypropylene mesh will not rust or rot. It also doesn't harbor diseases from one crop to the next like a metal trellis will do. The mesh net is similar in strength to high-tensile fishing line, so it will not snap even when supporting the heaviest fruits. It is also UV-resistant and will not degrade in sunlight.

Using Hortonova Trellis Netting

This mesh netting may be used vertically or horizontally. Vertical trellising is ideal for crops like pole beans, cucumbers and some smaller winter squash. To install vertically, use metal t-posts or wooden posts to support the netting. Place posts every 10-15 feet, stretch the mesh tight across the posts, and secure the mesh to the posts using zip ties.

Horizontal trellising is ideal for crops like cut flowers or tomatoes that have heavy fruits or flower heads. To create a horizontal trellis, use 1-2' tall posts on the outside of the flower/vegetable bed and stretch the mesh across the bed above the vegetable or flower crop. As the plants grow, they will grow through the netting while being supported on the left and right sides of the netting.
