The Heirloom Garden Collection contains a comprehensive selection of our favorite heirloom vegetables. By definition, an heirloom is a “tried and true” variety that has been passed through many generations. These varieties are proven and productive with excellent texture and flavor. This collection includes enough seed for a very productive warm-weather garden with many crops that provide multiple harvests throughout the growing season. For the Mortgage Lifter Tomato and Lacinato Kale, we suggesting planting those from transplants started in seed starting trays.

Mortgage Lifter Tomato – Mortgage Lifter Tomato is an heirloom variety that produces giant tomatoes that can weigh as much as 4 lbs. Meaty texture and tangy flavor. Developed in West Virginia in the 1930s. 70 days to maturity. 50 seeds per packet.

Bennings Green Tint Squash – Bennings Green Tint Squash is an heirloom, open-pollinated patty pan variety that is known for its delicious taste and productivity. Light green color with scalloped edges. 50 days to maturity. 30 seeds per packet.

National Pickling Cucumber – National Pickling Cucumber is the standard pickling cucumber variety developed by the National Pickle Packers Association. An heirloom that’s crisp, crunchy, and productive for many harvests. 60 days to maturity. 50 seeds per packet.

Truckers Favorite Corn – Truckers Favorite Yellow Corn is a staple field corn variety that’s easy to grow and makes excellent cornmeal and grits. 85/110 days to maturity. 150 seeds per packet.

Lacinato Kale – Lacinato Kale is an Italian heirloom that is one of the most productive crops you can grow. Produces delicious, long, and slender leaves year-round. 65 days to maturity. 200 seeds per packet.

Landreth Stringless Bean – An heirloom, stringless variety that dates back to 1885. Upright plants produce loads of 5″ pods that are meaty and delicious. A great variety for canning or freezing. 55 days to maturity. 150 seeds per packet.

Red Burgundy Okra – Red Burgundy Okra is a highly-productive, heirloom variety that produces deep, red pods that remain tender at longer pod lengths. All American Selections winner in 1988. 50 days to maturity. 50 seeds per packet.
