Fungi Max is a multi-purpose fungicide used to control powdery mildew and rust on vegetable plants. It is particularly effective on bean, tomato, and cucurbit species. This product has a systemic action that lasts for two weeks. It includes the active ingredient Myclobutanil (2.0%) and should be mixed at the rate of 0.75 to 1 fluid ounce per gallon of water.

Use on the following vegetables:

  • Asparagus (rust control) 
  • Cucurbits (powdery mildew control) – Includes pumpkins, winter squash, summer squash, cucumbers, melons, cantaloupes, watermelons, and gourds.
  • Beans (pod tip root and rust control)
  • Tomatoes (powdery mildew control)

Fungi Max Application Instructions:

Asparagus

  • Mix 1 fl. oz. per gallon fo water and uniformly apply to all parts of the plant to the point of runoff.
  • Do not apply to harvestable spears.
  • In all locations, apply to the developing ferns after harvest.
  • Reapply every 14 days so long as disease symptoms persist.
  • In all states except California, it may be applied within 180 days of harvest and cannot be applied more than one time per growing season.
  • In California only, it may be applied within 30 days of harvest and cannot be applied more than four times per year.

Cucurbits

  • Mix 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water and uniformly apply to all parts of the plant to the point of runoff.
  • Apply when the disease first appears.
  • Reapply every 7 to 10 days as long as disease symptoms persist.
  • May be applied up to and including the day of harvest.
  • Do not apply more than five times per season.
  • Do not plant a new crop in the same place as the crop that was treated within thirty days of the last application.

Fungi Max Application Instructions:

Beans

  • Mix 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water and uniformly apply to all parts of the plant to the point of runoff.
  • For rust, apply when the disease first appears.
  • For pod tip rot, apply when pods begin to develop.
  • For both diseases, if conditions favoring disease development (hot, moist weather) exist, reapply every 7 to 10 days. 
  • May be applied up to and including the day of harvest. 
  • Do not apply more than 4 times per season. 
  • Do not plant a new crop in the same place as the crop that was treated within 30 days of the last application. 

Tomatoes

  • Mix 0.75 fl. oz. per gallon of water and uniformly apply to all parts of the plant to the point of runoff.
  • Apply when the disease first appears or if conditions favoring disease development (hot, moist weather) exist.
  • Reapply every 21 days so long as disease symptoms persist. 
  • May be applied up to and including the day of harvest. 
  • Do not apply more than 4 times per season. 
  • Do not plant a new crop in the same place as the crop that was treated within 30 days of the last application.
