This long-handled hoe is an absolute joy to use in any soil type. The head on the Diamond Hoe is positioned at an angle so that it lies flat on the soil surface. It works similar to a scuffle hoe or collinear hoe. By moving the head back and forth along the soil surface, you can easily remove weeds. It works great for weeding pathways between rows or between plants along the row. The hoe blade is sharpened on all four sides, so you can weed in any direction — forward, backward, left and right.
This is a great hoe for close weeding. Because it skims along the surface of the soil, you won’t have to worry about damaging the feeder roots of your plants while weeding close to them. The design also provides maximum maneuverability, allowing you to work between the closest spaces.
The head on the Diamond Hoe is handcrafted by a 4th generation blacksmith in Missouri. The shaft is beautifully welded to the head and the head is hand-sharpened on all four sides.
